Richard Browett (Captain 2005)

(A.K.A The Shadow)

Youngest Barnwood Captain at 27 and also one of the Bud Three. 2005 Season will be tenth year playing bowls and enjoyed every year. I have been successful in club competitions, winning the Singles Handicap and runner up in the 2 Wood. 

Russell Smith 

Russell is at the moment Barnwood’s youngest bowler at 17. Russell started at 12 years old just going to the Club for roll ups .He started bowling for the Club at 14 yrs, he is  still at college and  he takes every  opportunity  to support the club and bowling when ever possible. Giving a good account of himself and is considered to be a very valuable asset to the club.

Dafydd Farr

Dafydd 31.Joined Barnwood Bowls Club because he saw the competitive side of bowls and wished to play for the County and as a ex Matson Rugby player and Hammer Thrower where he received County honours he is now looking for honours in the bowls world. He still enjoys the friendly side of the games.

Lee Williamson

Lee 29 started bowling in 1987 at the age of 11yrs old; playing for Tenby for 10 years he became a Welsh U25 International (1993 - 1997). Also became an Indoor International in 1998 whilst playing for Cardiff. The last time he played was in 1999 for Parc-y-Dre B C Llanelli this was due to work commitments. He moved to Gloucester in 2004 where he found Barnwood Bowling Club via  their web site and hopes for a long, happy and  successful time with the club.
