Secretary Tony Wade

(A.K.A. Wanger) Started bowling in 1968 for my local club Usk in Gwent, then went to R.O.F. Glascoed when I went to work there. When I changed my job I moved to I.C.I.  joining their Bowls Club which brought me to Gloucester where I joined their Club in 1981and left to join Barnwood in 2003. I have played  for the Welsh Civil Service, English Fire Service and the Royal British Legion Association also for Gloucestershire.  In 1996 I took the office of President of the Gloucestershire Vice Presidents B.A.  My greatest pride was to be the Woodlawns ( formerly I C I ) Club Captain in 1999 and winning the County Cup having Captained the team the previous year and took  them to the runners up spot. The position of Secretary of Barnwood B.C. will give me the opportunity to give something back to a club I really enjoy playing at, hoping I will be able to  follow  the high standards set by my predecessors.

(A.K.A Smudger) I joined in July 1972 and have enjoyed the Club and it's Membership ever since. I have been successful  in the County Competitions winning the  County 4's winning it three times and the Triples once all these   achievements happened in between 1982-1989. I have served the Club as a Selector and on the Management Committee for many years

 Ladies Captain Elaine Hopkin     

 I joined Barnwood in 1997 and this seems a long time ago. My club success to date is that I have won the Mixed Pairs Competition twice and was runner up to Carolann this year in the Club Handicap. I had the honour to Captain the Ladies in 2003 when my husband Captained the Men’s side. I will work hard to see that Carolann enjoys her year as Captain as she deserves a fun year. I also play indoor bowls and my indoor club is  Midglos.

Ladies Vice Captain Pat Howell

I started playing bowls in 1985 for ICI Ladies (later to be come Woodlawns). I won the Mixed Pairs with my Husband Tony in1991 which I'm very proud of, I was six times Club Champion, three times winning the Ladies Pairs, and Four times the  2 Wood. I received my County Badge in 1994. I joined Barnwood when Woodlawns Finished but had guested for Barnwood for many years before. In 1998 Myself and Husband Tony with friends Doreen and Bill Smith won Barnwood Gala Day

I joined in 1982 being made Ladies Captain in 1994 and again 2000. I became Club Champion in 2002 and was also made Member of the Year. I have been involved  in the Catering Team of the Club since 2000 also cleaning the Club as a member of a  small but keen team.
